Fire destroys Pearl Harbor townhouse

Investigators were looking into the cause a fire that destroyed a Pearl Ridge townhouse Tuesday afternoon.
The two-alarm fire at 98-308-D Ualo Place was reported at 2:39 p.m. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control at 2:54.
Fire spokesman Capt. Richard Soo said the fire destroyed the three-bedroom townhouse and also damaged three neighboring units. Most of the damage to the other homes were caused by smoke and water, he said.
No one was injured in the blaze and a damage estimate was pending investigation, Soo said. The American Red Cross was called to assist the families.
Damage to the structure and contents of the three-bedroom townhouse was estimated at $160,000. A next-door unit sustained $25,000 in damage while damage to two other neighboring units amounted to $1,000 and $5,000.
