Edgy

Alumni and staff of the 24-7 Danceforce Performing Company will take part in "On the Edge," a dance concert this weekend in the Ronald E. Bright Theatre at Castle High School. On the bill are: Mark Kanemura, Lance Sabado, Shanna Dragomanovich, Michon Suyama, Alicia Vela-Bailey, Yoori Kim, Orlando Ortega, Jacob Himoto, Dora Teraoka, Noah Lillie, Preston Meneses, Ry'n Sabado and Brent Koki. Also on the bill are the 24-7 Danceforce Studio and the Castle High School Danceforce. The concerts are at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The sounds of music

Everywhere, they're everywhere! And why not? They're young, talented and they make great music together. They are the four guys who comprise Colon, which will give a concert titled "Colon & Friends" 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Honolulu Academy of Arts theater. Tickets are $15. 532-8700.

And speaking of music, there are Les Peetz and Clyde Pound in a free concert at 7:30 p.m. today, also at the academy theater. This one, a night of jazz favorites performed by the two pianists, is offered by the Hawaii Chamber Orchestra Society. 532-8700.


To your health

The Primetime Health Fair, especially for folks 50 and older, offers free health screenings, seminars (including guest speaker Dr. Terry Shintani of the Hawai'i Diet), cooking demonstrations, a fashion show, games and door prizes 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. It's free. 525-7714. The fair is preceded by the Senior Fun Walk, which begins at 7:30 a.m. at Ala Moana Beach Park. Walkers should check in at McCoy Pavilion from 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. for the one- or two-mile route that features "goodies" giveaways.
