Ozeki (champion) Musoyama threw down Takanohana, handing the yokozuna (grand champion) his first loss at the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament today with one day to go.

Takanohana (13-1), who is trying to win his 22nd tournament, left the arena limping with an injured right ankle.

Takanohana and Musashimaru (Wai'anae's Fiamalu Penitani) are scheduled to meet on the final day.

Musashimaru (12-2) easily pushed out Chiyotaikai (11-3) today.
