Healthy babies on parade

Parents, here's your chance to show off your bundles of joy.

Entries are being accepted for that Island institution, the 48th annual Meadow Gold Healthy Baby Contest at Ward Warehouse. The preliminary round will be held at 8:30 a.m. July 7, and the finals will take place at 10 a.m. July 8.

Contestants must be residents of Hawai'i, born on or between Dec. 16, 1998, and Jan. 8, 2000. Send the first and last name of your child; first and last name of the mother and father; mailing address; home and work phone numbers; child's birth date and sex; and a one-line sentence about your child. Entries should be mailed to Honolulu Chinese Jaycees, P.O. Box 957, Honolulu, HI 96808, and postmarked no later than June 18. Walk-in contestants also are welcome.

Meadow Gold also is searching for past first-place Healthy Baby Contest winners for its 50th anniversary celebration in 2003.
