Bank expands online service

Bank of Hawaii will start offering online banking to its customers in American Samoa today. The service will be the first Internet banking service in American Samoa, the bank said.

"This is part of Bank of Hawaii's efforts in expanding our service in American Samoa," said Brent Schwenke, vice president and American Samoa country manager.

Bank of Hawaii operates three branches in the U.S. territory — in Faratogo, Pavaiai and Tafuna. American Samoa is 2,300 miles south of Hawai'i.


Hawaiian, union ratify contract

Hawaiian Airlines and the union representing 1,700 Hawaiian Airlines mechanics, airport workers and accounting staff ratified a 43-month contract on Monday.

The airline and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers reached a tentative agreement on Oct. 1; the contract took effect that day.


Colliers to run marketplace

Colliers Monroe Friedlander Management Inc. said it recently won a contract to manage the Maui Marketplace, a 262,879-square-foot center that includes Lowe's Home Improvement Center, Sports Authority, Office Max and Borders Books.

Colliers will replace current marketplace manager Chaney, Brooks & Co.
