Yamauchi-Yamate leads Pac-Five to win

Running back Michael Yamauchi-Yamate rushed for three touchdowns and 70 yards to lift Pac-Five over Damien, 41-22, in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu game last night at Aloha Stadium.

Andrew Canoy got hold of the football twice for the Monarchs, but scored on each of those occasions. He had a 91-yard touchdown reception from Destin Alameida and returned a kickoff 82 yards for another touchdown.

Chad Rayno rushed for 119 yards on nine carries for Pac-Five, which amassed 222 yards rushing.

It was the regular-season finale for both Division II teams.

• Iolani 14, Punahou 7: Teo Bennett rushed for two touchdowns, including a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter, to lift host Iolani over Punahou yesterday.

Bennett also scored on a 2-yard run in the second quarter.

Punahou's Sean Fitzsimmons completed 20 of 36 passes for 192 yards, but was picked off five times.
