Achievers

Courtney Dang, a Colorado State University student from 'Aiea, has received an $898 Robinson A. McWayne Memorial Scholarship.

Ku'ulei Rodgers of Waimanalo is a recipient of a Nancy Foster Scholarship. The scholarship program, which encourages independent graduate-level research in oceanography, marine biology or maritime archaeology, particularly by women and members of minority groups, provides support of up to $28,800 for the 2001-2002 academic year.

The Hon Chew Hee Estate Foundation has presented $1,000 Golden Callus Awards to Tanya Ah Sue, a recent graduate of Kahuku High School, and Michelle Yoshida, a recent graduate of Castle High.

These students received perfect scores at an O'ahu Math League meet in September: Vallant Lee, Kaiser High; Yuan Chen and James Park, McKinley High; Matthew Ardo, Kelly Nakamura and Ina Tang, Iolani School. Thirty high schools and more than 300 students participate in the league each month.
