TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: "Uprising" conclusion, 8 p.m., NBC. Even if you missed the first half, jump in now. This is an energizing, real-life story about people facing impossible odds. The year is 1939 and the Nazis have confined Jews to a Warsaw ghetto. The underground Jewish Fighting Organization is formed by Mordechai Anielewicz (Hank Azaria) and his best friend, Yitzhak Zuckerman (David Schwimmer).

As yesterday's episode ended, their first action "a clever ambush" sent the enemy into retreat. Now an ego-driven general (Jon Voight) leads the German forces. Meanwhile, Jewish men and women make bold use of limited guns and homemade explosives. This is a stirring story, beautifully directed by Jon Avnet, in Slovakia. The cast is superb, led by Leelee Sobieski (as one of the Jews who worked undercover in the Aryan neighborhood).

"The Wonder Years," 5:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m., FOX Family Channel. Here's a fresh chance to catch reruns of this wonderful comedy-drama from the start.

"Boston Public," 7 p.m., FOX. In last week's season-opener, a rich and beautiful lawyer (Jeri Ryan of "Star Trek: Voyager") visited the school. She soon decided she might want to teach there. Tonight, she causes a fuss among teachers.

"King of Queens," 7 p.m., CBS. As Carrie's dad (Jerry Stiller) prepares for heart surgery, she learns something key from the past.

"Platoon" (1986), 3 p.m. (and again at 10:35 p.m.), WTBS. Reaching into his own year as a Vietnam infantryman, Oliver Stone wrote and directed this film, which won the Academy Award for best picture. It also helped bring a well-deserved focus to Vietnam vets.

"Ally McBeal," 8 p.m., FOX. Dame Edna Everage shows up as one of the plaintiffs in Jenny's suit.

"Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS. Robert's upset when his former girlfriend, Amy, dates his friend, Gianni.

"Masterpiece Theatre: The Cazalets," 9 p.m., PBS. The fourth hour of this excellent, six-hour series shows the spreading impact of World War II. The family gets tragic news from the battlefront and at home. Meanwhile, some of the partying continues; so does the cheating.

"Becker," 8:30, CBS. Dr. Becker becomes an awful hospital patient. Also, Randy and Jason Sklar play twins (which they are in real life) who are dating Reggie.
