Wilson, who began the final round a stroke behind leader Taichi Teshima, reeled off seven birdies against a pair of bogeys at the 6,859-yard, par-72 Ube 72 Country Club for a total of 21-under 267.
Dean Wilson made seven birdies and two bogeys yesterday and won the Ube Kosan golf tournament by one stroke.
"I'm very excited and this has been a fantastic year for me," said Wilson, who won the Japan PGA Championship and the JPGA Match Play titles earlier this year.
Teshima had seven birdies against a pair of bogeys and looked set for his second victory of the season until a double bogey on the 17th hole dashed his hopes.
"I hit it to the left off the tee and then over the green on my third shot. Up until then I was satisfied with my game," said Teshima, who finished with a 69.
Wilson, 31, nearly let Teshima off the hook when his second shot on the 18th hole found the bunker in front of the green.
"I knew I needed to save par there," said Wilson, who pitched out of the bunker and then sank a five-foot putt for the win and the $230,000 winner's check.
Wilson has earned about $889,000 in 19 JPGA tournaments this season.
Hajime Meshiai also shot a 69 to finish in third place at 18-under 270, while American Todd Hamilton, bidding for his first victory on the Japan tour since winning the 1998 Jun Classic, shot a 70 for fourth place.
