Weekly honors

St. Louis football

Junior running back rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries, helping the Crusaders to a 38-14 victory over Kamehameha and their 16th straight ILH championship.

KAINOA CASCO

Lahainaluna football

Senior quarterback/safety completed 9 of 13 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns, and made three interceptions on defense to lead the Lunas to a 34-6 victory over Maui.

CHRISTAL CUADRA

Pac-Five cross country

Maryknoll senior won her second straight ILH individual championship by running a 2-mile course at Kamehameha in 11 minutes, 24 seconds, 34 seconds faster than her nearest challenger. She was undefeated in the ILH season.

ALLISON DUPONT

Pearl City volleyball

Senior outside hitter had 14 kills and four digs to lead the Chargers to a 15-12, 15-8 victory over Moanalua in the OIA championship match, Pearl City's fourth OIA title in the past six years.

RICKEY ESTRADA

Kamehameha volleyball

Senior outside hitter had 15 kills to help the Warriors defeat Punahou 15-10, 15-9, 11-15, 15-8 for the overall ILH championship. He had one kill and three blocks during a key six-point run in the deciding fourth game.

AVIV GRILL-CHILDERS

Punahou water polo

Senior scored four goals to lead the Buffanblu to a 7-4 victory over Iolani, giving Punahou its 26th ILH championship in 29 years.

JODI-ANN GUM

Pearl City bowling

Sophomore bowled a 279 game in the OIA team semifinals, helping the Chargers to a 2-0 victory over Roosevelt. Pearl City went on to win the championship.

BRENTON HARBOTTLE

Kailua football

Running back rushed for 284 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries to help the Surfriders defeat Mililani 34-14 in an OIA playoff game.

TODD IACOVELLI

Punahou cross country

Senior won his second straight ILH individual championship by running Kamehameha's 3-mile course in 16 minutes, six seconds, 35 seconds ahead of his nearest challenger.

KANOE KAMANA'O

Iolani volleyball

Junior setter/outside hitter had 12 kills, with only two errors in 29 attempts, and had nine blocks and 18 assists in the Raiders' 15-6, 3-15, 15-12, 9-15, 15-11 victory over Punahou for their first ILH championship.

SHANNON LI

Sacred Hearts air riflery

Sophomore posted a score of 534 to win the individual state championship. She scored 187 in the prone position, 166 standing and 181 kneeling.

LEON LAUTALO

'Aiea football

Senior defensive end made 17 tackles, 13 solo and one for a loss, and had one hurry in Na Ali'i's 21-10 victory over Wai'anae in the OIA playoffs.

TUALAU MALAFU

Maui football

Senior running back rushed for a state season-high 309 yards on an MIL-record 37 carries in a 34-6 loss to Lahainaluna, becoming only the second player in league history to notch consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.

DUSTIN MUNDON

Kapa'a football

Junior running back rushed for 89 yards on 10 carries, including a 47-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, to lift the Warriors to a 9-7 victory over Kaua'i. He also played the entire game at free safety.

MICHELLE 'TULI' PETERS

Kahuku volleyball

Junior outside hitter had 15 kills, 11 digs, two blocks and an ace in the Red Raiders' 15-10, 15-6 victory over previously unbeaten Kalani for the OIA championship.

MULIVAI PULA

Kahuku football

Senior running back rushed for 220 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries in the Red Raiders' 42-18 victory over Roosevelt.

KYLE QUON

Punahou air riflery

Won the state individual championship with a score of 534. He scored 191 in the prone position, 161 standing and 182 kneeling.

Other standouts

ASHLEY ARATANI, Iolani volleyball — Served 10 straight points off jump serves to help the Raiders rally from an 11-3 deficit in the third game of their championship match against Punahou. Iolani won that third game 15-12.

B.J. BATTS, St. Louis football — Sophomore running back rushed for 102 yards on 12 carries to help the Crusaders defeat Kamehameha and claim their 16th straight ILH championship.

JACOB GAISON, Moanalua volleyball — Setter had eight kills in a semifinal victory over Kalaheo, and 10 kills and six digs in a championship loss to Pearl City.

A.J. GARBIN, Baldwin football — Senior rushed four times for 27 yards and one touchdown, and had a 63-yard catch in the Bears' 16-7 victory over King Kekaulike. The Bears clinched the MIL second-round title with the victory, setting up Friday's game against Lahainaluna for the overall championship and the league's lone state berth.

TERRYN HOWARD, Baldwin bowling— Had a 498 series as the Bears defeated King Kekaulike 3-0 to win the MIL team championship.

KEALI'I KEKAWA, 'Aiea football — Senior linebacker had eight tackles, seven solo, in Na Ali'i's 21-10 victory over Wai'anae.

WILLY MELEMAI, Kamehameha volleyball — Middle blocker had a team-high 16 kills in the Warriors' championship victory over Punahou.

IKAIKA NEIZMAN, Lahainaluna football — Senior had three catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for a touchdown in the Lunas' 34-6 victory over Maui.

BLAIR NONAKA, Iolani volleyball — Had 12 kills and only four errors in 26 attempts in a championship victory over Punahou.

MARISA OKAMOTO, Kalani volleyball — Sophomore outside hitter had 13 kills and three aces in a semifinal victory over Pearl City, and 10 kills and 10 digs in a championship loss to Kahuku.

WARREN TAUANUU, 'Aiea football — Senior linebacker made nine tackles, seven solo, caused one fumble and had two sacks in Na Ali'i's 21-10 playoff victory over Wai'anae.
