TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

Country Music Association awards, 7 p.m., CBS. It's a transition time for country music. Newer star Sara Evans, with seven nominations, is moving in. Still, standbys remain important.

TONIGHT'S MIGHT-SEE

"Warship," 9 p.m., PBS, or "Crimson Tide" 7 p.m., USA Network. For generations, the country that ruled the seas ran the world. England did, usually. France made occasional surges when it had better inventions. Both sides ignored inventor Robert Fulton, who then returned to his native America and gave it steam power. History is related in the "Warship" documentary, which stretches over four hours on two Wednesdays. It's all interesting, yet a bit dry and distant. To make this come alive, we need fiction and "Crimson Tide." Director Tony Scott makes a nuclear submarine seem visually exciting; Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman play naval officers juggling the fate of the world.

OF NOTE

"Temptation Island Reunion Wedding" (7 p.m.) and "Temptation Island 2" (8 p.m.), Fox. This vulgar show returns, with couples splitting apart, to be tempted by scantily clad beauties. Before that, however, we get a reunion of last season's couples. At least one of them gets married.
