Movie Openings

"Come Undone": While on a family vacation at the seaside, brooding 18-year-old Mathieu meets Cédric, an attractive, carefree boy his own age, and is swept away by the first stirrings of homosexual passion. Opens tomorrow at Restaurant Row Theatres. (nr)

"The Heist": A movie about a caper and a con, involving professional criminals who want to retire but can't. It's not that they actually require more money. It's more that it would be a sin to leave it in civilian hands. Opens tomorrow at Dole Cannery 18 Theatres, Restaurant Row Theatres, Ward Stadium 16-Plex, Waikiki 3-Plex, Koko Marina 8-Plex, Pearl Highlands 12, Pearlridge West 16-Plex, Kapolei 16-Plex, Mililani 14-Plex, Ko'olau 10-Plex, Keolu Center Cinemas, Windward Stadium 10, Makalapua Cinemas (Big Island), Keauhou 7-Plex (Big Island), Prince Kuhio Stadium Cinemas (Big Island), Maui Mall Megaplex Cinemas (Maui), Lahaina Cinemas (Maui). (R).

"Shallow Hal": One of the least funny movies from the Farrelly brothers is, surprisingly, one of Gwyneth Paltrow's best. This is the Farrellys' serious, sensitive movie, about a shallow guy named Hal who's brainwashed into seeing women for their inner beauty instead of their looks. Opens tomorrow at Dole Cannery 18 Theatres, Restaurant Row Theatres, Ward Stadium 16-Plex, Waikiki 3-Plex, Kahala 8-Plex, Koko Marina 8-Plex, Pearl Highlands 12, Pearlridge West 16-Plex, Kapolei 16-Plex, Mililani 14-Plex, Ko'olau 10-Plex, Keolu Center Cinemas, Windward Stadium 10, Makalapua Cinemas (Big Island), Keauhou 7-Plex (Big Island), Prince Kuhio Stadium Cinemas (Big Island), Maui Mall Megaplex Cinemas (Maui), Front Street Theatres (Maui). (PG-13).

"Vampire Hunter D": An animated horror film. Opens tomorrow at Restaurant Row Theatres. (NR)
