CLAUDIA D. STEARNS, 101, of Howe Mountain, Idaho, died recently. Born in California. A nature advocate and founder and active board member of Scenic Hawaii Inc. Her husband, Dr. Harold Stearns was a geologist who mapped nearly all the early geology and hydrology of the Islands. Survived by family and friends coast to coast and in the Islands. Her legacy of love for trees and all things natural continues at her Howe Mountain residence, Cloudsledge Foundation. Arrangements by Moon Chapel, Sand Point, Idaho.
