Iz Fest kick-off moved up an hour

The Iz Fest event, slated Sunday at Aloun Farms in Kapolei, will start at 5 p.m., an hour earlier than originally announced. Gates now open at 4 p.m. The event, which pays homage to the late Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, will be held near a maze Aloun Farms cut into a cornfield in his likeness.
Just added to the slate this week: Del Beazley, Kapena, Teresa Bright and Raymond Kane. Earlier announced participants include, Marlene Kamakawiwo'ole, Gaylord Holomalia, Mel Amina, Analu Aina, Mike Muldoon, Willie K, Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom, Barry Flanagan, Hapa, Ernie Cruz Jr., Kapena, Baba B, Keahiwai, Maunalua, Ken Makuakane, Anelaikalani, Moke boy, Tino and the Rhythm Klub, and DisGuyz. Hula halau also will perform.
Tickets: $15 in advance, at Ticket Plus outlets; $17.50 at the gate.
