Limoz scores TKO

Teddy Limoz Jr. of Honolulu scored a third-round technical knockout of previously unbeaten Ian MacKillop of Canada in Las Vegas.

Limoz was awarded the victory after the referee stopped the scheduled-six-round bout at 1:32 of the third round. The welterweight bout was on the undercard of Saturday's Kostya Tszyu-Zab Judah world welterweight title fight at the MGM Grand Hotel.

Limoz improved to 7-1 with with six knockouts. MacKillop is 10-1.


FOOTBALL

• UH banquet set: The Alec Waterhouse Memorial University of Hawai'i Football Warrior Awards Banquet is Dec. 2 at Sheraton Waikiki.

The event begins at 6 p.m with no-host cocktails, and a buffet dinner follows at 7 p.m.

The master of ceremonies is K5's Jim Leahey.

Tickets are $45 with tables of 10 going for $450.

• Clinic today: The second annual Hawai'i-USA Olympic Wrestling clinic will be held today through Sunday at St. Louis. For more information, call 942-5352.
