SHOSO "GUS" KITAOKA, 73, of Pearl City, died Nov. 7, 2001. Born in Kahuku. A retired contract specialist for the Army National Guard. ALBERT LEE LEMEN, 83, of Kula, Maui, died Nov. 4, 2001. A retired U.S. Army brigadier general. Former executive director of the Maui Mental Health Association. Active member of Makawao Union Church and Maui Rotary Club. Survived by wife, Margaret; sister, Mildred Klemme; daughters, Margaret Lemen, Jennifer Lemen and Gail Lynn; son, Vernon Begley; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons. Services are pending. NORMAN J. SILVA, 67, of Prescott, Ariz., died Nov. 6, 2001. Born in Honolulu. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired as an inspector at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
