Potter movie runs 2.5 hours
Some parents are wondering how their children will react to the highly anticipated "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" movie coming out Friday. There are reports that the movie is darker in tone than many expected, although most kids who saw a premiere in London said they handled it fine. But then there's the issue of length. The film runs 152 minutes almost twice as long as "Toy Story." Some have asked whether children will be able to follow a film of such length. But director Chris Colombus has told Time magazine: "My mantra has been: Kids are reading a 700-page book they can sit through a two-hour movie."
