CHESLEY BARBA

Waimea football

Senior running back rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries to help the Menehune beat Kapa'a, 41-0, and complete a fourth straight undefeated KIF season.

SHAINA CARNATE

Kapolei bowling

Freshman bowled a tournament-high game of 235 and scored 1,745 in a nine-game series to win the Sam Choy's State Bowling Championship. She became the school's second-ever individual state champion.

RYAN CHANG

Pearl City bowling

Senior bowled a 703 three-game series and finished with a nine-game score of 1,947 to win a Sam Choy's State Bowling Championship and help the Chargers to the team title.

CHRISTAL CUADRA

Maryknoll cross country

Senior won the Honolulu Marathon/ Hawai'i High School Athletic Association championship by running the 2-mile course at Island School (Lihu'e) in 12 minutes, 3 seconds.

TODD IACOVELLI

Punahou cross country

Senior won the Honolulu Marathon/ Hawai'i High School Athletic Association championship by running the 3-mile course at Island School (Lihu'e) in 15 minutes, 45 seconds.

ISAAC KNEUBUHL

Kamehameha volleyball

Senior had a match-high 18 kills to lead the Warriors to a 15-8, 15-13 victory over Iolani, giving Kamehameha its first state championship since 1993.

FELIPO MOKOFISI

Kailua football

Senior linebacker had two sacks and helped limit Castle to 125 yards passing and 40 yards rushing in the Surfriders' 13-7 victory, which gave Kailua a share of the OIA championship.

MULIVAI PULA

Kahuku football

Senior running back rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries, all in the first half, and also scored on a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the first play of the game in the Red Raiders' 48-0 victory over 'Aiea. The win gave Kahuku a share of its fourth straight OIA championship.

KAWIKA REED

Waiakea football

Senior middle linebacker played a key role in stopping Konawaena's running game in a 14-0 shutout, a victory which gave the Warriors a co-BIIF championship and the league's only berth in this week's state tournament.

NICOLE ANDERSON, Iolani cross country — Freshman ran the 2-mile course at Island School (Lihu'e) in 12 minutes, 31 seconds to place third at the Honolulu Marathon/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association championship and help the Raiders win their second team title in four years.

RAYSON CACAL, Waimea football — Junior running back rushed for 130 yards and one touchdowns on 14 carries in the Menehune's 41-0 victory over Kapa'a.

RICKEY ESTRADA, Kamehameha volleyball — Senior had eight kills and a match-high 18 digs to help the Warriors win their first state championship since 1993.

TIA FERGUSON, Seabury Hall cross country — Ran the 2-mile course at Island School (Lihu'e) in 12 minutes, 6 seconds to place second at the Honolulu Marathon/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association championship.

JONATHAN GROBE, Iolani volleyball — Senior outside hitter had 17 kills and helped rally the Raiders from a 12-1 second-game deficit to a 14-13 margin. Iolani fought off seven match points before finally losing 15-13.

IKAIKA HO, Castle football — Senior receiver/defensive back caught a 13-yard pass for the Knights' only touchdown and broke up two potential touchdown passes on defense while helping Castle limit Kailua to 237 yards of offense in a 13-7 loss.

JEFF LIM, Mililani cross country — Senior ran the 3-mile course at Island School (Lihu'e) in 15 minutes, 54 seconds to place a close third at the Honolulu Marathon/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association championships.

JUSTIN PETERSON, Kamehameha cross country — Senior ran the 3-mile course at Island School (Lihu'e) in 15 minutes, 53 seconds to place second at the Honolulu Marathon/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association championship and help the Warriors take the team title.

CHAZ TABIAS, Kailua football — Senior defensive back made two interceptions and helped limit Castle to 125 yards passing in the Surfriders' 13-7 victory.
