Measure carefully when making cookies

For the best holiday cookies, measure correctly: For liquids, set transparent measuring cups on a level surface, fill, then check at eye level. For dry ingredients, use graduated measuring sets and "dip and sweep" — fill measures by scooping into the bag or canister, then sweeping top level with a knife. Pouring ingredients into the measure fluffs them up and throws off volume.
