• It's the deadline for reservations for Wednesday's luncheon meeting of the PUBLIC RELATIONS SOCIETY OF AMERICA, Hawai'i chapter, when a panel discussion will look at what leaders in Hawai'i's government and visitor industry have been doing since Sept. 11 to encourage a return of visitors to the state. The panelists will be Lt. Gov. Mazie Hirono; Murray Towill, president of the Hawai'i Hotel Association; and Tony Vericella, president and chief executive officer of the Hawai'i Visitors & Convention Bureau. • Hawai'i's participation in a nationwide Ad Council public service campaign to help with national healing and restoration following Sept. 11 will kick off at a special HAWAII ADVERTISING FEDERATION luncheon. At the same time, 220 American Advertising Federation clubs nationwide will preview a special video spearheading the $3 million "war chest" to pay for production and distribution of a public service media campaign using donated media time.
