Small fire hits Tripler

Advertiser Staff

Firefighters were called to a small electrical fire last night at Tripler Army Medical Center.

Federal and Honolulu firefighters were called to the 6 p.m. alarm, said Capt. Richard Soo.

The fire was on the 10th Floor of Building A at 400 Jarrett White Road. Federal firefighters quickly extinguished the fire while Honolulu firefighters stood by to assist.

Margaret Tippy, Tripler spokeswoman, said the fire was extinguished within 10 minutes.

No patients or staff members had to be evacuated, she said.
