TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE: "Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS. At the core of this excellent series is the jealousy between brothers. Robert, the cop, is doing fine except when compared to his brother, the sports writer. Everybody, he groans, loves Raymond. Now that theme peaks: A woman he meets at a sports bar is fond of Robert but thinks he's Ray.
TONIGHT'S SHRUG: "The Carol Burnett Show: Show Stoppers," 9 p.m., CBS. For 11 years, "The Carol Burnett Show" gave viewers crackling-good comedy. Dip into that pool at random and you could come up with a funny hour. Instead, this special focuses on flubs, bloopers and moments when the regulars broke each other up. Think of that as a reverse mining effort going into a pool of gold and sifting to find some sand. Still, if you're a fan who's up for nostalgia, this might be slightly appealing.
"The Weakest Link," 7 p.m., NBC. Former "Star Trek" actors collide. They range from the original series star William Shatner (James T. Kirk) to "Voyager's" Robert Picardo (The Doctor) and Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres) plus John DeLancie, whose all-powerful Q character touched several series.
"King of Queens," 7 p.m., CBS. Doug's behavior in a plane is far from noble.
"Ally McBeal," 8 p.m., FOX. It is European star night: Jacqueline Bisset is the guest client; Elton John sings at the bar.
"Third Watch," 8 p.m., NBC. Cops sometimes must trust their instincts. Now comes a tough episode with a haunting question: What if an instinct is wrong? A seemingly mild moment is tragically misread. The result has sharp repercussions for Yokas and Bosco.
"Mr. Dreyfuss Goes to Washington," 7 p.m., the History Channel. Richard Dreyfuss, one of the brainiest people in Hollywood, offers a tour of Washington, D.C.
"Masterpiece Theatre: My Uncle Silas," 9-11 p.m., PBS. On the surface Silas (Albert Finney) is a lecher, a poacher, a drinker, and a loud old man. We soon get under that surface, though. By the end of the first story there are five separate ones in this movie we really like the guy.
"Becker," 8:30 p.m., CBS. Lauren Holly ("Picket Fences") guest stars as a girlfriend who thinks it's time for some commitment.
"Crossing Jordan," 9 p.m., NBC. This is the second half of a story linking two "Law and Order" alumni, Jill Hennessy and Chris Noth. They're working on a case even though she's developing suspicions about him.
