Lelie will wait until after BYU to decide

University of Hawai'i wide receiver Ashley Lelie said he will wait until after the football season finale against Brigham Young Dec. 8 to decide whether he will return for his senior year.

"I want to get this last game out of the way before making a decision," Lelie said. "But I'm leaning toward staying."

By staying, Lelie said, he can improve his receiving skills and make progress toward graduation. Lelie, who is majoring in history, might earn his bachelor's degree as early as next summer.
Lelie said money will not be a factor.
"Financially , I'm OK," said Lelie, who worked two jobs this past summer. "I'm not poor. I'm a college student, and we go broke sometimes. But I'll be OK."
He also said the last two games "were the most fun I've had playing in college." He caught six passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-51 victory over Miami (Ohio) Nov. 17. Saturday night against Air Force, he had nine catches for 285
