ROY W. CUMMINGS, a journalist known as the "Father of the Hawai'i Newspaper Guild," died Saturday. The Kailua resident was 88. See story.

DIANE MUHLEMAN, 76, of Honolulu, died Nov. 22, 2001. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Retired as coordinator for the alcoholism treatment program and assistant director of nursing at Garden Sullivan Hospital in San Francisco and as acting director of the Women's Alcoholism Treatment Center at St. Francis Hospital in Honolulu.
