RAYSON CACAL

Waimea football

Junior defensive back returned an interception 19 yards for a touchdown and helped a Menehune defense that forced five Kahuku turnovers and limited the Red Raiders to 21 points, their second-lowest point total of the season, in a state semifinal loss.

TAUALAI FONOTI

St. Louis football

Senior linebacker had eight tackles, including three for a loss, six hurries, two sacks and one fumble recovery in the Crusaders' 49-7 state semifinal victory over Kailua.

INOKE FUNAKI

Kahuku football

Senior quarterback completed eight passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed 11 times for 123 yards to help the Red Raiders defeat Waimea 21-7 in the state semifinals.

DIANA NAKOA

Nanakuli softball

Senior catcher set a tournament record with four home runs, including two grand slams, batted .550 with seven extra-base hits, drove in 14 runs and stole three bases for the Golden Hawks in the University High Thanksgiving Tournament.

KEHAU YAMAGUCHI

University High softball

Senior pitcher won three games and saved one in the University High Thanksgiving Tournament, striking out a tournament-record 38 batters and walking none in 21-plus innings. Among her wins was a no-hit, 16-strikeout performance against Nanakuli.

FERRON FONOIMOANA, Kahuku football — Senior receiver caught three passes for 56 yards, including two first-half touchdown receptions, in the Red Raiders' state semifinal victory over Waimea.

TOLIFILI LIUFAU, St. Louis football — Junior defensive lineman made five tackles, including two for a loss, had four hurries and one sack in the Crusaders' 49-7 state semifinal victory over Kailua.

JASON RIVERS, St. Louis football — Junior receiver caught seven passes for 179 yards and three touchdowns in the Crusaders' state semifinal victory over Waimea.
