Gannett News Service

TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE (cable): "The Daily Show," 9 p.m., Comedy Central. After taking last week off, this delightful show is back with fresh episodes. Tonight that includes Lewis Black, the terrific comedian who has just released his own "Lewis Black: The White Album," on the 33rd anniversary of the Beatles' more prestigious "White Album."

"Malcolm in the Middle," 7 p.m., FOX. Malcolm falls in love and falls away from his friends and homework.

"The West Wing," 8 p.m., NBC. Prostitution, mad cow disease and seat-belt legislation loom large. Meanwhile, C.J. continues to become more emotional.

"The Bernie Mac Show," 8 p.m., FOX. After mixing with a bunch of moms Bernie gets defensive about his masculinity.

"Invincible," 4 p.m., WTBS. Here is another chance to see this stylish film, a visually powerful martial-arts tale. Billy Zane stars.

"Garth Brooks: Coast to Coast," 9 p.m., CBS. This wraps up Brooks' three-concert spree — this time from South Padre Island off Texas.

"Law and Order," 9 p.m., NBC. A shooting in an upscale nightclub soon entangles a hip-hop star (Cyrus Farmer) and a movie star (beautifully played by Kerry Washington). Don't expect a big finish, but you will get some thoughtful comments on image.
