The Hawai'i High School Athletic Association is recommending that anyone planning to attend tomorrow's Chevron State Football Championship game purchase tickets in advance and arrive early because of an anticipated large crowd and afternoon traffic. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.

HHSAA executive secretary Keith Amemiya said Aloha Stadium is treating the game between Kahuku and St. Louis like a University of Hawai'i game and will open all parking gates. The Salt Lake Boulevard gate will open at 4:30 and others at 5.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at Chevron service stations. Also, the main box office at Aloha Stadium will open at 9 a.m. tomorrow with other ticket windows around the stadium opening at 5:30.

The first 7,000 through the turnstiles — which open at 5:30 — will receive a Pizza Hut balloon "boom sticks."

Kahuku has been designated the visiting team and will be situated on the mauka side; St. Louis will be on the makai or Pearl Harbor side.

The game will be broadcast live on KGU AM 76 and will be shown Sunday on KFVE at 2 p.m. and again at 10.
