Base facilities reopened
Most facilities have been reopened on Army installations, although extra security measures are being enforced.
Maj. Gen. James M. Dubik, commander of the 25th Infantry Division (Light) and U.S. Army Hawai'i, has asked personnel to "think OPSEC, or operational security."
McNair Gate, Schofield Barracks is open for cars with three or more passengers from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., and is also open for exit traffic.
Foote Gate, Schofield Barracks is open for entry only from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., and for exit only from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Foote Gate will be closed on weekends and holidays.
The Army has asked that any suspicious activities be reported to military police at 655-0911. This includes carrying suitcases or large containers, leaving parcels unattended, or observing, photographing or asking questions about operations or security.
Military Police units reorganize
The Schofield Barracks and Fort Shafter Military Police Companies have been deactivated and reorganized into the 13th and 39th Military Police Detachments.
The detachments continue to provide law enforcement services in support of the Provost Marshal, but their mission has expanded, and may include deployments as military police teams.
