Hawaiian Airlines dropping fares from West Coast

Advertiser Staff

Hawaiian Airlines is offering special low fares on flights originating from its West Coast destinations.

Round-trip fares from Los Angeles to Honolulu are being offered for as low as $279, San Francisco and San Diego for as low as $289 and Seattle and Portland as low as $309. The discounted fares are available for travel through March 31, but tickets must be purchased by Oct. 17.

The discounts come in response to a drop in passengers following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Meanwhile, Island Air is offering discounts on flights between Maui and the Big Island. Passengers who buy a one-way ticket will get a free return ticket. That offer is good until Dec. 15.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story indicated the drop in fares was from Hawai'i to the West Coast.
