Advertiser Staff
Schuler Homes Inc. said today that 1,308 new home sales closed in the fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30, an increase of nearly 24 percent over the same quarter last year. New orders fell 2.8 percent, to 1,340, compared with 1,378 the previous year.
Results include all the operations of Western Pacific Housing, which merged with Schuler Homes in April.
For the fiscal year to date, Schuler has closed 2,472 new homes, compared with 2,115 the same time last year. New orders increased 6.3 percent to 2,749, from 2,585.
Schuler said it remains focused on growing by 10 percent to 15 percent a year, but also is evaluating measures that can be taken if the economic outlook changes and new orders decline.
The company will release financial results Oct. 25.
