Wahine, HPU to play Oct. 30

The University of Hawai'i and Hawai'i Pacific University women's volleyball teams will meet in a 7 p.m. match Oct. 30 at Stan Sheriff Center.

Hawai'i (10-4 overall, 3-0 in the Western Athletic Conference) added the defending NCAA II champion Sea Warriors (14-1, 8-1 Pacific West) and announced other schedule changes yesterday.

Nittaidai of Japan, which was supposed to play UH in an exhibition match Oct. 30, decided not to make the trip.

UH also canceled a match at Sacramento State on Nov. 21.

Hawai'i will play Utah instead of Southern California in the opener of the Bankers Classic at Stockton, Calif., on Nov. 23. USC canceled due to rescheduling of conference matches following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington.
