Gannett News Service

• MUST SEE: "Filmore Girls," 5 p.m., WB (seen on KFVE). As last season ended, Max proposed to Lorelai and filled her home with 1,000 yellow flowers, setting up the wonderful visual touch of this season-opener. There are big questions coming tonight: Will Lorelai accept? How will Luke (and Lorelai's rich parents) react?

• MUST-SEE: "The West Wing," 8 p.m., NBC. Think of this as history's most interrupted press conference. When last season ended, President Bartlet (Martin Sheen) was at the podium, taking questions. He was about to announce his plans for re-election, despite the charges that he'd covered up his health problems. The season was delayed — then the episode was delayed to allow last week's special episode.
