FOOTBALL

• Harvard

Neil Rose (University '98/Pac Five) of Mililani has moved into fourth place on the Crimson's all-time passing list with 3,324 yards. This season Rose is 46-of-75 for 643 yards and five touchdowns in three games. He also has run for three TDs.

Rose ranks 10th in NCAA Division I in pass efficiency (155.3) and 12th in points responsible for (16.0 per game).

Last season Rose set or tied 11 school records, including passing yardage (2,655), touchdown passes (18) and completions (203). Although his yardage per game is not as high so far this year, Rose's coaches say he is making better decisions. For example, he threw 13 interceptions last season and none so far this year.


MEN'S SOCCER

• Willamette (Oregon)

Junior forward Michael Semenza (Punahou '99) scored an unassisted goal to lift his team to a 1-0 victory at Puget Sound (Wash.) Saturday. Semenza scored again Sunday, but Willamette lost in two overtimes, 3-2, at Pacific Lutheran (Wash.). Semenza has three goals this season.


WOMEN'S SOCCER

• Arizona

Senior midfielder Tiffany Sabado (Castle '98), who started 34 games for the Wildcats the past two years, played for the first time this season Saturday. She underwent non-soccer related surgery just before the season started. Sabado is on Arizona's top-10 career scoring list.


WOMEN'S TENNIS

• San Jose State

In her first intercollegiate competition, Noelle Lee (Iolani '01) reached the quarterfinals of the Bulldog Classic tournament in Fresno, Calif. Lee won her first three matches in straight sets before losing to the third-seeded player in the quarters. In doubles, Lee and her partner reached the third round before losing to the second-seeded team.

• Washington

Sophomore Erin Hoe (Mililani '00) advanced through the prequalifying round of the All-American women's championships at UCLA before losing in qualifying in singles and doubles Sunday. Hoe was a four-time Hawai'i high school singles champion.
