“Island Insights,” 1:30 p.m., PBS. The topic is public health in Hawai'i, namely, dengue fever. State health chief Bruce Anderson will be the guest.

"Mrs. America Pageant," 7 p.m., PAX. John O'Hurley (who played J. Peterman on "Seinfeld") and "Downtown" Julie Brown are hosts.

TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Apollo 13" (1995), 7 p.m., ABC. Here's a soothing dose of feel-good Americana. It has a beloved star (Tom Hanks) playing a hero (astronaut Jim Lovell). It has a true story of people using ingenuity to bring a troubled ship back to Earth. "Apollo 13" was skillfully directed by Ron Howard with superb performances by Hanks, Ed Harris, Gary Sinise, Kevin Bacon and more.
