JOHN DAVID KAINA JR., 77, of Papakolea, died Oct. 8, 2001. Born in Honolulu. An electrician retired from Dole Cannery who served with the 2870th Engineer Utilities Detachment, U.S. Army. Survived by daughters, Rosaline Kaina, Madeline Ongais and Pauline Fernandez; sons, July, Samuel, David and Wendell; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
