SAILING

• Haig 13th: Honolulu's Kaya Haig finished 13th at the Rolex International Women's Keelboat Championship, held Sept. 22-28 at Annapolis, Md.

There were 61 crews in the biennial event, a 10-race series that — for the first time — used J/22 boats. Races were run in shifty northwesterlies that blew across Chesapeake Bay. Sailors ranged in age from 20-something to 50-something.

The winner was 1995 Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year Cory Sertl, of Rochester, N.Y.

Haig, a 1997 Punahou School graduate, was a three-time All-American for Boston University.

This year's tournament in West Virginia attracted 64 teams.
