Notes
State bowling tournament will move to Leeward Bowl

In a move to avoid the problems of entering a military base, the Sam Choy's Bowling state championships have been moved from Schofield Lanes to Leeward Bowl, the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association said.

The boys' and girls' tournaments are set for Nov. 8-9.

HHSAA executive director Keith Amemiya said he inquired with Schofield, which like all military installations is on heightened alert because of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, about logistics. When Amemiya did not receive a response he arranged for another site.
