Don't skip breakfast; this increases cravings and plays havoc with blood sugar levels.
Plan healthy snacks.
Don't diet or deprive yourself to make up for an indulgence.
Eat several small meals to keep blood chemistry in balance.
Instead of eating, talk to friends, in the form of words in a journal, or to a therapist.
Think about what's bothering you when reaching for food and deal with that in a direct way.
Exercise. It stimulates endorphins, consumes calories, keeps you away from the refrigerator and depresses appetite.
