A.W. "BILL" CULLEN, 89, of Denver, Colo., died Jan. 19, 2001. He left Hawai'i in 1931 and spent his adult life mainly in Colorado. Trained as a geologist. Conducted oil field exploration for major oil and gas companies before starting his own consulting firm. Survived by companion, Marilyn Lewis; son, Pete Ghormley; sister, Harriet Campbell; brother, William "Buddy" Campbell; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. MELANIO "MANNY" TUGCAY DE GUZMAN, 61, of 'Ewa Beach, Hawai'i, died Oct. 15, 2001. Born in Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines. Retired chief petty officer with the U.S. Navy.
