Weddings

Renee Sato and Joseph Kotowski III were married June 30 at Central Union Church. The reception followed at Hale Koa Hotel. They live in Honolulu.

Winona Ka'alouahi Frances Mesiona, daughter of Winona and Don Mesiona of 'Ewa Beach, and Jerome Paul Lee, son of May-Chian and Tsong-Ching Lee of Cary, N.C., were married on March 3 at Kamehameha Schools Bishop Memorial Chapel. The reception followed at Hale Koa Hotel. The bride (1987 Kamehameha Schools, University of Hawai'i-Manoa bachelor's and doctor of medicine degrees), now Winona Lee, is a pediatrician. The groom (1989 Cary Senior High, University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill bachelor's and doctor of medicine degrees), formerly of Cary, is a pediatrician. They live in Hale'iwa.

Corynn T. Sakamura, daughter of Gerald M. Sakamura and Nancy O. Sakamura of 'Aiea, and Derek M. Higashi, son of Albert M. Higashi and Dorothy Higashi of Honolulu, were married on Aug. 4 at Pacific Beach Hotel. The reception followed at the hotel. The bride (1995 'Aiea High, University of Hawai'i-Manoa bachelor's), now Corynn Sakamura Higashi, and the groom (1985 Moanalua High, UH-Manoa bachelor's) live in Mililani.Renee Sato and Joseph Kotowski III were married June 30 at Central Union Church. Engagements

Vicki Lydia Bentzien and Wayne N. Yoshioka have announced their engagement. Bentzien, of Honolulu, daughter of Robert and Shirley Bentzien of North Lake, Wis., is an emergency medical services assistant chief for quality improvement. Yoshioka, of Honolulu, son of Norio and Tamayo Yoshioka of Papa'ikou, is in the Hawai'i Army National Guard. They plan to be wed on Feb. 14, 2002, in Honolulu.

Tamsin Kalehua Ching and Jeremy Maka'ala Keone have announced their engagement. Ching, of Honolulu, and Keone, of Pearl City, plan to marry on Nov. 24 in Honolulu.
