Waialua beats Kalani for first win of season

Grant Yamanouchi scored on a 51-yard pass from Pookela Gasper with 4:07 remaining in the fourth quarter as the host Bulldogs beat Kalani, 42-35, for their first win of the season.

Charlie Tantog rushed for 174 yards on 11 carries, including TD runs of 60 and 43 yards, and Larry Ladao scored two TDs for Waialua.

Dane Souza scored two touchdowns and Travis Canonizado rushed for 232 yards on 27 carries for Kalani, which hadn't scored in any of its previous seven games.

He threw 14-, 18- and 8-yard touchdown passes to Mock in the first half, and a 74-yard scoring strike to Yeoland Tamapua in the third quarter.
