Marine hurt in Japan accident

Advertiser Staff

A Kane'ohe-based Marine corporal was in critical condition after he was injured during a humvee accident at Camp Fuji, Japan, on Friday, military officials said.

The Marine is with the 1st Battalion, Third Marines and is attached to the Fourth Marine Regiment while in Japan, said 1st Lt. Kent Robbins, a Marine Corps Base Hawaii public affairs officer.

Details are under investigation, Robbins said. The Marine was one of four Marines who were hurt in the accident, the military said; the other three were not seriously injured.
