Keali'i Reichel adds third show

A third performance by Keali'i Reichel has been added to his Hana Hou! series appearance later this month at the Hawai'i Theatre.

The additional performance is at 2 p.m. Oct. 28, augmenting the original dates of 8 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27. Reichel is opening the 2001-2002 series of Hawaiian music programs at the Hawai'i Theatre.

Nabors' yule show tickets on sale

Tickets are on sale for Jim Nabors' fifth anniversary production of "A Merry Christmas With Friends and Nabors," at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 and 2 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Hawai'i Theatre.

A joint production by the Hawai'i Theatre Center, Honolulu Symphony and Naborly Productions, the show features Nabors and guest artists Karen Keawehawai'i, Emma Veary, and Philip Huber and the Huber Marionettes in a nonstop parade of holiday favorites. Frank DeLima is a last-minute addition to the cast.

The new tunes will be arranged by Matt Catingub, pops conductor of the symphony. Youth and adult ensembles also will perform, including the Diamond Head Theatre Shooting Stars, directed by John Rampage; the keiki halau of Hula Hui O Kapunahala O Nu'uanu, led by Carolee Nishi; the adult Halau Kawaili'ula, headed by kumu hula Chinky Mahoe; and adult choirs such as the St. Peter's Choir and Prince Kuhio Hawaiian Civic Club, directed by Shari Matichuk.

Jamarama show moves to Mamiya

Jamarama Productions' holiday show will be staged at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at Mamiya Theatre, St. Louis School.

The show originally was booked at the Hawai'i Theatre. Tickets are still being sold there.

"Jammin' Through the Holidays" will feature more than 50 Hawai'i children singing and dancing to yuletide favorites.
