GOURMET CULINARY WORKSHOPS in celebration of the 5th annual French Festival in Honolulu, Oct. 27-30, Halekulani Hotel, hosted by chef Yves Garnier with chef Bernard La Prince of Hotel Les Roches on the French Riviera. Workshops, in which participants prepare and eat multi-course meals, are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. daily at $150 per person, limited to 12 people daily. AN EVENING OF HOPE benefit, 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10. The 10th annual Winter Wine Escape, originally scheduled for November at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, was canceled after the Sept. 11 attacks. Instead, the resort is sponsoring this one-night benefit dinner and auction in the courtyard of the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, with net proceeds earmarked for the Windows of Hope Family Relief Fund and the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
