UH golfers 12th in Pacific tourney

The University of Hawai'i men's golf team finished 12th in the 15-team field of the Pacific Invitational that was completed yesterday at Stockton, Calif.

Pacific's Troy McKinley won the individual title with a 5-under 211. Joe Matyas led Hawai'i with a 220 that tied him for 17th.

Fresno State won the team title with an 869, three strokes ahead of Nevada. UC-Irvine finished third with 875.

UCLA senior Parker McLachlin, a Punahou School graduate, tied for 10th with a 2-over 218 and led the Bruins to a seventh-place finish.


BASKETBALL

• Wahine tickets on sale: Season ticket packages for University of Hawai'i Wahine basketball are on sale at the Stan Sheriff Center box office.

Tickets are $75 for adults, $40 for students and children (ages 4-17), and $60 for seniors. All tickets are general admission.

The box office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 944-BOWS (2697).

The Wahine open the season Nov. 17 against Washington State.
