Two-club 'block party' lines up 12 bands

Who says you need a block to have a block party?

Mass Appeal's Block Party, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, will be held at Don Ho's Island Grill and Kapono's on the waterfront at Aloha Tower Marketplace, with show-goers able to traverse from one club to the other.

Some of Hawai'i's top attractions will assemble for continuous rock and contemporary local rhythms.

The slate: Thick Tubes, Ka'ala Boys, Mr. Van Ray, B.E.T., Kanalo, Col—n, Ten Feet, Kapena, H-Dawg, Native Blend, Pati and the Mana'o Company.
