TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"My Best Friend's Wedding" (1997), 8 p.m., ABC. Just when Julia Roberts' career droops, this dandy film came along. It's your basic, please-almost-everyone comedy. Roberts and Dermot Mulroney are pals who had agreed to marry, if both were still single at 28. Funny, but with characters we can root for, despite their muddled intentions.
"West Side Story" (1961), 2 p.m.; "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961), 5 p.m.; "An American in Paris" (1951), 7 p.m.; and "Harlan County, U.S.A." (1976), 9 p.m.; all Turner Classic Movies.
OF NOTE
"The World Series," 1:30 p.m., FOX. First game of the yearly classic.
