For the third time, starting times for the O'ahu Interscholastic Association football playoffs Saturday have been changed, the league announced yesterday.
The Castle-Waipahu game has been switched from 5 p.m. to 2 at Mililani High. Also, the Kailua-Mililani game has been moved to 7:30 at Mililani. It was scheduled for 5 at Moanalua.
Both games were originally scheduled for 7:30 starts before twice being moved.
Both games now will be televised live on Oceanic Cable channel 16. The Castle-Waipahu game had been scheduled for tape delay showing and only highlights of the Mililani-Kailua game were going to be shown the next day.
Saturday's games are not considered a true doubleheader like Thursday's matchups at Aloha Stadium. There will be separate admission charges for each of Saturday's games. The stadium will be cleared after the first game.
VOLLEYBALL
State berth at stake: Punahou will play Iolani for the Interscholastic League of Honolulu's second boys' state volleyball tournament berth at 5 p.m. tomorrow at St. Louis.
Iolani finished second in the ILH second round, while Punahou was second during the regular season.
It will be a best-of-five match, as with all other second-round matches.
Hawai'i Baptist, which had earned the fifth berth for the second round, is the ILH's small schools champion. Kamehameha, which beat Punahou Monday night, is the overall champion and has the ILH's top berth for the state tournament.
