WASHINGTON The White House confirmed yesterday that President Bush plans to stop in Hawai'i on the way home from a 10-day trip to Asia in mid-October.
No details of the Hawai'i stopover have been finalized, but a senior administration official confirmed that Bush's stop would be at the end of the Oct. 15-25 trip.
During the trip, Bush is expected to visit Japan, South Korea and China, where he will attend a summit of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) organization in Shanghai Oct. 20-21, along with 21 heads of state from Asian and Pacific countries.
