Sea Warriors top poll; Wahine fall to No. 10

Hawai'i Pacific University's women's volleyball team moved to the top spot in the AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 released yesterday.

The Sea Warriors (6-0), defending national champions, were No. 2 last week, but last week's No. 1, North Alabama, lost to Truman State and fell to No. 4.

West Texas A&M is No. 2.

Brigham Young-Hawai'i (4-1) is No. 13.

In the USA Today/AVCA Division I Top 25, the University of Hawai'i fell to No. 10.

The Wahine, ranked fifth in the last poll, were 2-1 in the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Classic last week, and are 2-3 overall. UH's losses are to No. 1 Nebraska, No. 3 Wisconsin and No. 7 UCLA.

The Wahine are No. 13 in the Volleyball Magazine poll.
